Public transports

There is a bunch of manners you should have in mind when moving by public transport on Argentina. And for public transport I refer to buses, the most popular way of public transport in the country. To begin with, it is very common to see people standing next to the entrance of the bus, waiting while the other people is entering the bus, and they just go in when everyone is inside. This is a way to show some good manners, letting the others take the seats before and making their travel more comfortable. So now you know, you shouldn't rush to enter the bus as fast as possible, be nice. The same rule applies for when you are inside and you got to sit. Ask the people next to you if they want to sit, they are probably gonna tell you they don't want to, but once they tell you this, you don't really have to listen, it's fine, you can sit. You can sit wherever you want to, in front, at the bottom, next to someone, alone, it doesn't matter. And no one is gonna get mad if you sit next to them and then move away.
Another thing to take into account is that you must stand up and give your seat to old ladies or old gentlemen, pregnant women and mothers who are with their children when they're very little. Some people think the last one is unnecessary, and some people think you should also give all women your seat.
In the USA they only agree with this last part. They also have to give their seats to pregnant women (not woman in general), old people and disabled people, and help them with anything they need like getting out of the bus. But for Americans, it is not common to behave the way Argentine people do when we're on a bus, that for us is totally basic.
